    My Problem

One of my most prominent problems has been this- I find it hard to "live in the moment". I want to blame it on the fact that, hell, I'm from New York City. Here we're always on the go, impatiently waiting for the next bus or train to come so we can hop on it to get where we're going, only to keep checking our phones and watches because, inevitably, we have somewhere else we have to be. And the vicious cycle continues.

Over the past weekend, for just 2 hours during Nas and Damian Marley's set, I told myself that I would not look down or pull out my phone. Just for two hours. And although a few times I had the urge to just check the time, I didn't. And the result? I think I had a much better time.

Whenever people say stuff like "live every day like its your last", I always ignore it as crap. Plainly, I see things too realistically. There's no way you could function every day as if it was your last. If you did this, you probably couldn't last more than a few days, because you wouldn't be able to afford it in most cases.

But living in life's tiny moments is what its all about right? I guess I can start there. And so far I can say it pays off.
